Lance Wurst

 

   Lance Wurst holds an Endorsement in Art Education K-12, and a History Endorsement 7-12. He graduated with a B.A. in Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received a M.A. in Art Education from the University of New Mexico, and has earned additional hours from Chadron State College, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and the University of Nebraska-Kearney. He has taught in the Grant Public School system since 1991.


   Lance has exhibited his artwork in various regional juried exhibits, highlighted by a 1999 showing in the Nebraska Governor's Mansion, and a national exhibit in Wisconsin, where his work was featured on a calendar. Lance was selected as the Nebraska Art Teachers Association's "Art Educator of the Year" in 1998. He continues to paint 5-7 paintings a year while teaching and coaching full time. He resides in Grant, NE with his wife Paula and two teenage daughters.
